ISN WCN Travel Grants

Travel Grant applications closed. Results will be announced by December 9th.

WCN 2020 organizers are pleased to offer a Travel Grants Program for ISN members from low and lower middle income countries to attend the WCN.

The travel grant includes:

  1. Registration to the congress
  2. A contribution (not a full reimbursement) to travel and accommodation depending on the region you are located in. For more detailed information about contributions, please see below. Please be aware that payment can only be made by bank transfer after the congress.The payment of the travel grants will ONLY be made by bank transfer after the congress.

Key dates:

  • October 14, 2019 (at midnight CET): Submission deadline. Any application received after the deadline will not be considered
  • December 9, 2019: Travel grant results announcement.

Please note that only online applications will be considered.

Travel grant criteria

WCN 2020 travel grant program is restricted to ISN members (ISN Full members, ISN Joint Group members, ISN Trainee) resident in low and middle income countries.
Exceptions are made for current ISN fellows who are training in developed countries and ISN Sister Renal Centers (SRC) Program participants from supporting centers.

Priority is given to:

  • Members presenting an approved abstract at WCN 2020
  • Members of 40 years and younger (born in 1979 and after)
  • Past and present ISN fellows, SRC participants, Members of the mentorship program.

Please note that if you have received three travel grants previously, your submission cannot be considered.

Contribution

The Congress will provide a contribution towards the travel and accomodation costs to Abu Dhabi based on the following maximum amounts. Travel grants recipients are encouraged to book early once accepted and to not leave booking to the last minute.

It is sole responsibility of the travel grant recipients to book their travel and accommodation.

Maximum amounts of contribution for travel and accommodation are:

Europe, NIS/Russia, North Africa, South Asia        950 USD
Rest of Africa 1.400 USD
South America & Central America 2.400 USD
North America, North Asia & East Asia 1.400 USD
South-East Asia 1.150 USD
Middle East    750 USD
Oceania 1.900 USD

Important information

Please do not register for the early bird rate if you are submitting a travel grant application! Travel Grants results will be announced by December 9, 2019. Should your travel grant application be unsuccessful, you will still be eligible to register at the discount early bird rate.
